In January 2010, 23 lives were lost on our roads as compared to 17 for the same period in 2009. This represented a 26% increase. February 2010 recorded 5 road fatalities compared to 19 for the corresponding one month period in 2009; a 74% decrease. As of March 3, 2010 the road fatality count stood at 28 as compared to 35 for the same period last year; an overall 20% decrease (Traffic Branch TTPS).

Arrive Alive! Initiatives
Some of the initiatives we have undertaken include:
- Professional cleaning of Traffic Branch offices.
- Installation of a PBX telephone system at Traffic Branch.
- Procurement of architectural plans for the effective internal re-design of the existing building housing Traffic Branch.
- Installation of a PBX telephone system at Licensing Office (the offices of the Transport Commissioner).
- Customer Service and Human relations training - over 300 police officers were trained in 2008
- Approximately three hundred (300) Traffic Police officers received privately sponsored, professional training in Customer and Quality service.
- 15-20 Traffic Law Enforcement Officers were trained in three brands of breathalyzer technology by the respective manufacturers.
